I would like to wish all of our friends who celebrate Christmas a Merry Christmas.
The end of the year holidays are a wonderful time with its theme of light in the darkness. It is, after all, the winter solstice — the longest night of the year. At this time of year many of us get up before the sun rises and return to our houses after dark. Farms are mostly quiet, since little grows in the cold dark of winter.
Despite the darkness, the end of year is festive and hopeful. It is a time of generosity, family, and celebration. At Neighborhood Place of Puna it is the season when we get the opportunity to distribute children’s gifts and holiday goodies to the families we serve.
It is also the time of the year when we ask you to consider making a donation to support the many families Neighborhood Place of Puna serves through our various programs: Emergency Shelter, Family Resource Center, Housing Navigation and Stabilization, etc.
Like you, we believe that families should have access to the support, resources and skills they need to thrive; to raise their children in safe, stable, and nurturing homes.
You can now donate using your credit card or Paypal account by clicking this link to the Neighborhood Place of Puna donation page.
Thank you for your support. May your holiday season be filled with Friends, Family, and Joy.
